HTML and CSS Validation
Although not proved without doubt that W3C validation gives you better search engine rankings, it's sure that errors in your code can cause you big problems. Converting your website pages to XHTML may help you reach more customers, as your site will work better in more browsers and non-traditional devices.
In order to see if you're CSS files or HTML code turns out to be valid use these tools:
HTML
W3C Validator
http://validator.w3.org/
WDG HTML Validator - Web Design Group
http://www.htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/
CSE HTML Validator Lite
http://onlinewebcheck.com/
Validation Services for your HTML / XHTML / WML - Validome
http://www.validome.org/
CSS
CSS Validator - Jigsaw
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
On a side note, the going experiment with the use of the Blogger specific platform continues as I test uptake, design/coding issues using default settings, spamming issues and management of posts as well as organic growth and seeding of content via this medium. Extending past the bare bones approach and adding modules to the template layout, as well as experimenting with advert positioning has been a useful exercise. I have appreciated users feedback along the way as the experiment continues.
